HAND-BUILDING WORKSHOPS (Adults and Kids)

Adults: For a group of min. 2 max. 10 people, we can have a 2-3 hours hand-building workshop in the studio. There are many possibilities regarding what we can make together.  We can have a mug workshop, Japanese tea bowl making with kurinuki technique workshop, textured vase workshop, simple figure or decoration making workshops (such as pumpkins, pine trees, little birds, christmas decorations making). If you want the workshop to take less time we can have a ceramic painting workshop as well. The objects you make will need to dry, be glazed and fired twice which usually takes 4-5 weeks depending on the studio schedule. After that, they can be collected from the studio or be delivered to you all together incase you live outside of the Hague. Glazing, firings, some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price but the rest of your requests will be charged separately. Catering or alcoholic drinks can be arranged. If you have a larger group it is possible to have the workshops at another place as well, terms and conditions to be discussed.

Kids: Kids workshops are possible for min. 4 Max. 8 people and we would like to have the presence of 1 parent if the number is above 4 and the group is younger then 12. Minumum age is 9. Best workshops for the kids are wonky mug workshops, fruit or animal figures making workshops (such as pumpkin or little birds making), christmas tree decorations workshops. Those workshops do not require unsafe tools. Kids will be painting their pieces during the workshop. Other conditions are the same with an adult workshop.

​Our prices range from 60 EUR to 80 EUR depending on the number of people, timing and concept of the workshop, excluding special requests.

POTTERY WHEEL TRY-OUT WORKSHOP (Adults Only)

With a group of min. 2 ​max. 4 people we can have a try-out session for the pottery wheel. In this workshop Sebnem will be explaining the overall process of making ceramics and then demonstrating how to make pots on the pottery wheel. After that she will show you have how to make a basic cup with hand-building and some options to decorate your cups. While the rest of the group is busy with hand-building their cups, she will be helping one you to create a small cup on the wheel. Session ends after everybody tried the pottery wheel which generally takes 2,5 hours for group of 4. The cups you make with your hands will be glazed with transparent glaze since you can paint them and the cups you make on the wheel will be trimmed and then glazed with the glaze color of your choice. All of them need to dry and fired twice in the ceramics kiln which takes 4-5 weeks depending on the studio schedule. You can collect your pieces from the studio or they can be delivered all together to you if you live outside of the Hague.
